Herbal remedies have long been utilized in traditional medicine for the management of various diseases, particularly inflammatory conditions. Inflammation, a key factor in diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and cardiovascular diseases, often requires therapeutic intervention to reduce symptoms and prevent further complications. This mini-review explores the potential benefits of herbal remedies in the care of inflammatory diseases, focusing on their ability to alleviate symptoms, reduce side effects of conventional treatments, and possibly enhance the effectiveness of standard therapies. Herbs like turmeric, ginger, and boswellia have shown promise in modulating inflammatory pathways, with several studies supporting their anti-inflammatory effects. However, their use requires caution, as certain herbal components may interact with medications, including immunosuppressive drugs. The review also highlights the need for personalized care and medical supervision in incorporating herbal remedies into inflammatory disease management.
